Rowan House has been our permenant family home since 2001, and available to book as a holiday home since 2012. You will find that it is a particularly well appointed family home, sleeping 7 to 8 guests in comfort, a warm welcome is guaranteed.
We offer plenty of Space for the whole family, with a large living room (with open fire), that leads onto an even larger, stone flagged (underfloor heating) family room, with exposed stonework and oak beams, a sitting area, and dining area with seating for eight.
The family room opens into the beautiful kitchen, with a full range of oak units and hardwood counter tops, a huge dresser, butler sink and an electric, two oven AGA at its heart. Guests will also find a fridge / freezer dish washer, and a combi oven / microwave here. A utility room is also provided, with a washing machine and tumble drier.
Upstairs, the main bedroom (5ft bed) has an en-suite shower room, and there is a further double (4ft 6 bed), twin (3ft beds) and single / twin bedroom (3ft beds, one stored under the other when not in use). The main bathroom is also upstairs, and there is a further shower room downstairs.
The young, and not so young will enjoy the downstairs games room with TV, DVD player, games console and beanbags.
Garden furniture and barbecue are provided on the main patio, with a second patio to catch the last of the evening sun; perfect for "sundowners"! The rear garden is private, south facing, dog and family friendly, and guests also enjoy the use of three acres of paddocks - perfect for football, picnicking, or for giving the dogs a run.
Oil fired central heating, underfloor heating in the stone flagged parts of the house, the Aga and the open fire keep you snug in winter, while summer visitors will be delighted to hear that the AGA can be used as a conventional cooker without filling the house with heat on those lovely warm days.
Great location for walking, golf, and horse racing breaks. Cyclists can enjoy exploring the Tour de France 2014 route!
Parking for up to 3 cars, and plenty of indoor storage for bikes, golf clubs and fishing gear!
